The eignasaga.is service is operated by Eignasaga ehf., Icelandic company reg. no. (kennitala) 450526-1260, Klukkurima 10, 112 Reykjavík, Iceland ("we", "us"). Eignasaga provides a digital service book where homeowners can log maintenance and renovation work on their properties and have contractors digitally verify that work. By using the service you agree to these terms.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these terms.
You are responsible for all content you submit to the service, including photos, descriptions, and contact information. Content must not violate applicable law or third-party rights.
Eignasaga is a permanent logbook for a property, and the history follows the property, not the owner. A job you record on a property can be corrected or withdrawn for 24 hours after registration; after that the entry locks and can be neither edited nor deleted. A job verified by a contractor locks immediately. On a change of ownership, a new registered owner who claims the property against the HMS property registry takes over the property with its entire history, and the previous owner loses access. If you delete your account the property history is not deleted; it passes to a registered co-owner or waits for the next registered owner, as described in the Privacy Policy.
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Eignasaga is not liable for damages arising from use of the service beyond what is required by law. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of updated terms.
